About Me

👋 Hey, I’m sh0rtrange!

I’m passionate about where cybersecurity meets the physical world - in other words, Hacking the Planet! RFID, Access Control Systems, Radio, Alarm Systems… you name it.

My handle sh0rtrange was penned by two legendaries, Iceman and Woody at SaintCon 2024. I was competing in the RFID CTF… and couldn’t solve the long-range radio challenges for the life of me. Woody noted that I was only really good at the “short range” stuff, and that’s how I got my name: sh0rtrange. Bearing that handle, I won my first ever RFID CTF - and it’s stuck since.

When not competing, I work as a Researcher, Consultant, and RFID Instructor in various contexts.
